While the Charter of the United Nations provided an enduring framework for universal peace and security, it entrenched power politics and led to the dominance of economic and political interests over all else, especially human rights and environmental protection. We need to use all our creative resources to reconstitute a sustainable, inclusive and just international order. Art and performance can help generate ideas, inspiration and support for approaches to global governance that meet today's challenges.
